2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) directed by Stanley Kubrick. Many argue that this film is cinema’s GOAT and its enduring status is partly down to ideas around artificial intelligence and technology that have only become more prescient with every passing year. But few sci-fi films have embraced the look, feel, and experience of space travel with this level of baked-in, world-building cool.
