Michael Keaton played the titular role in 1988's Beetlejuice, but he shockingly appeared way less in the movie than one would expect. Keaton was a year out from playing the role of Bruce Wayne in Batman, which Tim Burton also directed, but the actor was already known for his roles in The Mary Tyler Moore House, Mr. Mom, and Night Shift. Though Keaton's version of Batman would become a highlight of his career, a role he reprised in 2023's The Flash, his role as Beetlejuice will always be celebrated, considering the movie's loyal fanbase. Despite its immense popularity, a Beetlejuice sequel took over 30 years to come to fruition.
