Dislocation is a condition that happens when the bones of a joint are knocked out of place. A joint can be partially dislocated (subluxation) or fully dislocated. A dislocation can be caused by trauma (car accident or fall) or the weakening of muscles and tendons. A dislocation can be treated through medication, manipulation, rest, or surgery.
