Which plant produces a variety of coffee?

The most common species of coffee plant is Coffea arabica, better known as arabica. The seeds (beans) of the arabica plant make up around 60 – 70 percent of all the coffee consumed worldwide. The coffee beans that give us all the delicious coffee beverages are from a type of flowering plant. The coffee plant produces fruits that contain either one or two seeds. These green seeds are actually what we call coffee beans.
