The Twilight franchise is one of the most infamous of the 21st century. Most people either have outright scorn for it or a form of ironic affection. One of the things that makes Twilight so notorious is its unique take on vampires. They're clearly inspired by mythology but take that inspiration very loosely. The Twilight vampires are perfect humanoids who drink blood, but that's where the similarities end.
